About 1.5 miles from trail head to peak - dog friendly

Jack's peak, while not particularly lengthy, is rather challenging due to the grade of the trail. The trail head can be found in a residential neighborhood above Wasatch drive, near the iconic 'H' rock of Highland High School. Hikers will notice how steep the trail grows. Those seeking to reach the peak will need to be in reasonable shape. Atop the peak awaits a sobering but heartwarming shrine to a Jack Edwards, an infant who lost his life to leukemia. Those who reach the top are welcome to add an entry to one of the journals inside the mailboxes. Near the summit I discovered a weathered length of rope, the only trash I found.

Everyone on a trail is responsible for its condition, good or bad. We chose to uphold the former; and, we hope you will too!
