Elbow Fork is a moderately difficult trail that can be found up Millcreek Canyon just before reaching the winter gate. Terraces Campground will be on your right hand side, across a short bridge and up a narrow road. Held within the Terraces campground, the trail starts with the same trailhead as Bowman Fork. A short way past the trailhead the trail will fork, left is Elbow Fork and right is Bowman Fork. Elbow Fork is not an out and back trail, it will end a bit farther up Millcreek Canyon Road than it started on; from there, you can either turn back on the trail, or take Millcreek Canyon Road back to the Terraces Campground. It is for this reason, if you wish to hike this trail, we recommend you park in the small lot directly across the road from the bridge that leads to the Terraces Campground. This will allow you to reach your car on the return journey without hiking up the steep paved road to the campground.

Recap
Elbow Fork is a trail we did on accident. We were somehow convinced that Elbow Fork was Bowman Fork. You can see the Bowman Fork Trail from many of the ridges along Elbow Fork. Ultimately this trail, while similar in difficulty, will not take you anywhere near the same destination as Bowman Fork. Despite all that though, Elbow Fork was a fairly decent trail to hike. It was challenging, as it is quite steep in some places; and, had some great places to rest and look around in the shade. We met a few other hikers and runners on this trail, even late on a week day. So this seems to be a well frequented destination.
